One more clearance...

This morning, our birth mother appeared in court and agreed to relinquish her parental rights to us.  The referee agreed and recommended that both her and the putative father's rights be terminated and also accepted our appointment as the adoptive parents.  The judge has to sign the order but we are told that is not an issue.  What we are waiting on is the Georgia ICPC (basically the entity in charge of accepting interstate adoptions) to inform our lawyers that our paperwork has been accepted so we can cross state lines and come home.  As soon as we get word, we will be on our way!  Late word today is that it will probably be tomorrow or Thursday before we can leave. More news as soon as we hear something...more pictures later.
